The DC Area Film Critics Association named Paul Greengrass' "United 93" best film of 2006, while Martin Scorsese received best director for "The Departed." Echoing critics groups in New York and Los Angeles, best actor went to Forest Whitaker ("The Last King of Scotland") and Helen Mirren received best actress for "The Queen." "Blood Diamond"'s Djimon Hounsou received best supporting actor and Jennifer Hudson ("Dreamgirls") took best supporting actress. "Pan's Labyrinth" received the best foreign film nod and "An Inconvenient Truth" received best documentary. The DCist reports.
