Venice 2010: A Complete Guide to the Festival

The Venice Film Festival kick's off Wednesday, September 1st with the world premiere of Darren Aronofsky's "Black Swan," leading into eleven days that feature some of the most anticipated premieres of the year, from Sofia Coppola's "Somewhere" to Julian Schnabel's "Miral" to Anh Hung Tran's "Norwegian Wood" and Kelly Reichardt's "Meek's Cutoff."

It's one of the year's major international cinematic events and indieWIRE will be offering a variety of coverage over the course of the fest, while Thompson on Hollywood's Anne Thompson is already on the scene in Italy.

indieWIRE has also put together film pages for a number of Venice titles and will be updating them as the festival progresses to include links to coverage, criticWIRE grades and any other information that might come along. A handy guide to the pages (which already include photos, plot synopses, and trailers), is below.

The Venice Film Festival runs through September 11th, closing down with the world premiere of Julie Taymor's "The Tempest."
