The New York Times brought some of this year's most acclaimed performers together for a trip to the dark side for their magazine's annual Hollywood issue.
In a series of videos, spearheaded by the magazine's design director Arem Duplessis and directed by artist Alex Prager, stars including Ryan Gosling ("Drive"), Adepero Oduye ("Pariah"), Gary Oldman ("Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy"), Glenn Close ("Albert Nobbs") and Rooney Mara ("The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"), play baddies in elaborately staged short 'art' films.
Last year, you might remember, The Times had actors like James Franco and Jennifer Lawrence act out classic recurring moments in film.
