A vital project, with both a fun and serious approach. Really want to see this film get made.

I cannot imagine a more important film project than Brainwashing. The culture wars, begun by conservatives upset by the liberal movement of the 60's, evolved into a campaign of misinformation with increasingly intense initiatives throughout the end of the 20th century and into the 21st. The American public is apparently so vulnerable that millions of people have fallen into a trap of accepting poisonous talk radio language, completely untrue Fox "news", and extreme right Congressional statements that have no basis in fact. The result is that our democracy is in great danger. People need to know the truth in order to think for themselves and vote responsibly. The cynical "Republican Noise Machine" assumed people did not want to think for themselves and replaced their need to think, with instant sound bites. This is all mashed in together with a great deal of hatred aimed at President Obama, which he does not deserve, pretty much because of racism.

Brainwashing is a great idea for a doc. An important project for our somewhat disturbing times. It talks about how millions of people have been led to believe that supporting mindless, factually incorrect & often evil conservative ideas are somehow good for them.
