[Editors Note: Project of the Week is presented in partnership with Blackmagic Design, one of the world's leading innovators and manufacturers of creative video technology.]
The winning filmmaker will become a candidate for January Project of the Month. That winner will receive a Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 12 License and will be in the running for Project of the Year, where the prize will be a Blackmagic URSA Mini 4k camera.
The four projects up for this week's Project of the Week are listed below (with descriptions courtesy of the filmmakers). You can vote at the bottom of the page.
The Truthful Phone: The magic of "Labyrinth" meets the sumptuous fantasy of Guillermo Del Toro in this dark comedy about nasty old Mae Morris, who unleashes a gypsy curse that exposes her secrets to the very townsfolk she lives to torment.
Invisible Hand: A new revolution is born in the birthplace of American independence – the Rights of Nature – amid a real-life rebellion to protect democracy against colonization of communities via the free market.
BRAID: A psychological thriller about two girls who moved to NYC to become artists and got involved in illegal activities instead - when they run out of money, they decide to return to their childhood home to rob their oldest friend who has been living in the fantasy world they created as children.
The Ladies Almanack: A kaleidoscopic tribute to the friendships, jealousies, flirtations and publishing woes of lesbian authors and artists in 1920s Paris with lustful and irreverent hints of the present.
Voting will end Monday, January 18 at 5 p.m. ET.
