Lightweight GoPro cameras allow even non-filmmakers to capture high quality images in tough situations -- as this video of a firefighter rescuing a kitten demonstrates.
GoPro Rescue

We're amazed by the filmmaking possibilities that GoPro cameras provide. We recently posted a video of footage captured from a GoPro camera strapped to an eagle's back. And in the latest GoPro video -- shot on GoPro's HD HERO3 camera -- fireman Cory Kalanick rescues an unconscious kitten from a burning house filled with smoke.

Of course, we love anything involving firemen and kittens -- but we're also impressed with the fact that lightweight, versatile cameras like this one allow people -- everyone from professional filmmakers to firemen -- to capture high-quality footage. Kalanick posted the video to YouTube and it was then shared by GoPro. Kalanick's original video has been viewed more than 1.5 million times. Sadly, the kitten didn't survive his heroic rescue.

In another example of GoPro ingenuity, 52 GoPro cameras were used to capture these "Matrix Puppies." Love animals? Check out the video below:
