First premiering at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival, "Oculus" is a horror flick about two siblings who are still reeling over the mysterious death of their parents, possibly caused by a haunted mirror from their past.
In the trailer, we are introduced to siblings Kaylie and Tim, played by Karen Gillian and Brenton Thwaites (who also leads the film adaptation of "The Giver"), who lost their parents when they were teenagers. Tim was deemed responsible, but Kaylie always believed that there was another force at work--a homicidal mirror perhaps. After discovering that the mirror may have been the source of many other murders, Kaylie and Tim are forced to confront this unlikely enemy.
"Oculus" will also play at the 2014 South by Southwest Film Festival (March 7-16).
