Every February, the Independent Spirit Awards act as a necessary counterpoint to the Academy Award's relatively clean and respectful broadcast, offering stars the opportunity to say or do anything they want during IFC's censor-free televised broadcast.

IFC has released a new ad for the 2013 installment of their awards, which highlights the most outrageous moments of the festivities, which have over the years included Ben Stiller's onstage porn star accompaniment, Mickey Rourke's plea for Eric Roberts to get a job, and a variety of celebrities cursing as much as humanely possible.
