In Funny or Die's latest video, the "Special People's Club," comedy actress Heather Matarazzo ("The Princess Diaries"), uses her years of experience to teach young girls how to be less boring. In a world where being called "basic" has become the worst of insults, the sketch is an essential instructional.

In the nearly three-minute long video, Matarazzo chastises young girls who are not diary-ing correctly. She verbally attacks one girl who, almost too predictably, writes about her crush on a boy--even though Matarazzo finds her relationship with a math pop quiz to be a subject more worthy of exploration. There's a great bit with a girl who uses Tumblr as her diary, which "gets more hearts and reposts" than anyone else in her grade.

Check out Matarazzo and her words of wisdom below.
