With the release of "Hitchcock" around the corner, Anthony Hopkins gives audiences across the country a taste of his upcoming performance as the master of suspense. In a Fox Searchlight PSA that's now screening before trailers in movie theaters nationwide, Hopkins-as-Hitchcock declares that "nothing is more horrifying" than talking or texting during a movie.

With the release of "Hitchcock" around the corner, Anthony Hopkins gives audiences across the country a taste of his upcoming performance as the master of suspense. In a Fox Searchlight PSA that's now screening before trailers in movie theaters nationwide, Hopkins-as-Hitchcock declares that "nothing is more horrifying" than talking or texting during a movie.

As cinema etiquette educator, Hopkins-as-Hitchcock instructs moviegoers everywhere to refrain from using their cell phone in the middle of the film "because it makes everyone… 'Psycho.'"

Below, you'll find a recording of the PSA that a YouTube user caught with their phone last week -- whether Hopkins-as-Hitchcock would approve of such a maneuver is questionable, but watch for a laugh and a warning.
