Watch: How to Create Impressive-Looking Outer Space Effects Using Household Products

Who says you need to have state-of-the-art digital technology to create high-end visual effects? Video series "Shanks FX," started by filmmaker Joey Shanks, defies such expectations by showing that the inventive use of household products can produce some pretty mind-blowing results. Presented by PBS Digital Studios, Shanks' latest undertaking sees him generating the galactic realm, using milk, food coloring and a piece of glass to bring to life the various forms and nuances of the cosmos.     I intend to when I make one. Low budget special effects would be great for some of my stuff. Got to write the script first though. This guy is brilliant :)
