Many of us would kill to be best friends with Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen, but maybe not so much in Naomi Foner's directorial debut, "Very Good Girls."
In this first trailer for the film, we are introduced to Lilly (Fanning) and Gerry (Olsen), two best friends who make a pact to lose their virginity the summer before they leave for college. Unfortunately, they both end up falling for a suave street artist (Boyd Holbrook). Naturally, trouble ensues.
While "Very Good Girls" seems like a rather formulaic coming-of-age story, we can only hope that the excellent supporting cast, which includes Clark Gregg, Demi Moore, Richard Dreyfuss, Peter Sarsgaard and Ellen Barkin can elevate the material to something not so generic.
"Very Good Girls" opens in theaters on July 25. Tribeca Film and WellGo USA Entertainment are in charge of distribution. Check out the trailer below:
