Watch: David Cronenberg is Back to His Dirty Ways With Full 'Cosmopolis' Trailer
"Cosmopolis"Cannes Film Festival
Fresh off the announcement that David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis" will be competing for the Palme d'Or in the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, comes the full international trailer for the Canadian auteur's latest.
For those who thought Cronenberg went soft on us with his acclaimed period drama "A Dangerous Method," prepare to be surprised. If the promising trailer for "Cosmopolis" is anything to go by, Cronenberg is back in "Videdrome" and "Crash" mode. What that means? Kinky sex, brutal violence and a brand of weirdness only Cronenberg can conjure up.
The film, set in the no-too-distant future and based on the book by Don DeLillo, centers on 24 surreal hours in the life of Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson), a 28 year-old Wall Street tycoon.
Rouding out the cast is Juliette Binoche, Mathieu Amalric ("The Diving Bell and the Butterfly"), Jay Baruchel ("Knocked Up"), Samantha Morton and Paul Giamatti.
Read the book 3 times and this looks spot on and so does Pattinson. It tickles me that the young Twi-fans won't be there, but Rob's adult fans will. He has many more than people realize. The young ones dropped Rob for wolfboy and his shirtless abs.LOL
Hello Eric Packer!! From what I've see thus far from the trailer you're just as I imagined you, reading the book. Very well done!! This is gonna be a movie I have to watch more than once, just as I've read the book more than once.

Yesirree. Finally a RPatz film that the Twihards won't (be allowed to) swarm to the theatres. Adults only.
