Born To Fly: Elizabeth Streb vs Gravity

Elizabeth Streb is a renowned dancer/choreographer and the director of the Streb Extreme Action Company. She's also the subject of the upcoming documentary "Born To Fly: Elizabeth Streb vs. Gravity."

The film, directed by Catherine Gund, looks at Streb's decade-long career, exploring one the most innovative performers in the field. The trailer gives us a peak at one of Streb's shows, which looks dangerous, action-packed and as close to flying as anyone can imagine. We get a quick glimpse of the intense training that these artists go through, as well as some of the medical aftermath.

The documentary will have a one-week showing, taking place from September 10-16 at Film Forum. It will later be released sometime in the fall or winter.
