Of her small screen debut in "An Honorable Woman," Maggie Gyllenhaal told Indiewire, "The indie film community is working in TV." Another star making his small screen starring debut in an upcoming miniseries is Academy Award winner Adrien Brody, who plays the legendary, enigmatic magician Harry Houdini, who dazzled audiences with his array of tricks, highlighted by daring escapes from life and death situations.

The History Channel series will air in two parts on September 1 and 2, and stars "House of Cards" breakout Kristen Connolly as Houdini's wife Bess. The trailer features Houdini at the height of his fame, and hints at what the series will show of his rise to stardom. 

Shockingly thrilling for a 90-second spot for a biographical TV miniseries, this trailer packs a bevy of daring tricks that suggests Brody's dedication to the role. The miniseries was directed by Uli Edel and premieres at 9pm on Labor Day.
