The film follows the interpersonal drama of the residents of a retirement home for aging opera singers. Each year the home stages a concert to honor Verdi's birthday. Cecily (Collins), Reggie (Courtenay) and Wilfred (Connolly) are three members of a famous quartet who are living comfortably in the home until fourth and most celebrated member Jean (Smith) shows up. Her arrival brings up old resentments in the group and threatens plans for the upcoming concert.
The film looks like a light comedy that will appeal to the same audience who made John Madden's "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" a sleeper hit.
The Weinstein Company acquired the film in May. No U.S. release date has been set.
