There comes a time in everyone's life where they must sit themselves down and accept their fate. That day is today. There's no escape. The "Simpsons" marathon is coming, beginning August 21 on FXX, and you will watch it all. You will commit to every back-to-back episode (552 in total); every cromulent couch gag, every "Treehouse of Horror," every catchphrase. Oh, and don't forget all the pop culture references you can poke a stick at. It'll be beautiful. To hell with the consequences!
What's that? You have "responsibilities"? Frankly, that doesn't cut it. It's "The Simpsons" and that means something. It'll embiggen us all. Because according to the trailer below, such trivial matters of turning off a tap, mowing the lawn and tending to the continued survival of human civilization are meaningless in comparison.
