Jim Jarmusch's stream of idiosyncratic characters that have driven his films to a cultural significance continues to flow through the independent film world. He now brings to his devoted fan base his latest feature "Only Lovers Left Alive," starring Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as atypical vampires contemplating the meaning of their existence.
The film details the lives of Adam and Eve as their relationship spans the course of centuries. Based on the trailer, it seems as though "Twilight" fans will want to stay away, with Jarmusch's film wisely taking the dark comedy route and presenting his romantic leads as ultra-cool rather than vicious and monstrous.
"Only Lovers Left Alive," which also stars Mia Wasikowska, Anton Yelchin, John Hurtand and Jeffrey Wright, now heads to the 2014 SXSW Film Festival. The film opens on April 11th. Check out the trailer below:
