Although the bizarre and gruesome music video for "Time To Dance," the single by French band The Shoes, first went viral in 2012, we are bringing it back to your attention in honor of director Daniel Wolfe's Cannes debut film "Catch Me Daddy."
Wolfe directed the freaky video, which features Jake Gyllenhaal slashing throats in a fencing suit, using some cocaine and a surreal sequence with a bunch of dancers wearing animal costumes. As of now it has almost 4.5 million views on Youtube.
His first full-length feature, "Catch Me Daddy," which will show at Cannes as part of Director's Fortnight Lineup, is a thriller about a teenage girl who runs away from her family and goes west with her boyfriend. Her brother, with his gang of criminals, catches up and she is forced to flee. If the film is anything like the music video, it's sure to at least be an interesting viewing experience.
