For five seasons on "Mad Men," 50-year-old silver fox John Slattery has played an advertising honcho with a penchant for much younger women. In the upcoming indie "In Our Nature" (out in select theaters December 7), the actor plays a guy with a similar yearning for the younger set, but if the recently released trailer for the family drama is anything to go by, this couldn't be further removed from the hit AMC show.
"In Our Nature" centers on Brooklynite Seth (Zach Gilford), who takes his girlfriend Andie (Jena Malone) to his family's weekend house in upstate New York for a romantic getaway. Slattery plays Seth's estranged father Gil, who surprises the two when he shows up that same weekend with his much-younger new partner, Vicky (Gabrielle Union).
The promising trailer hints at a heart warming time at the movies, with plently of family strife to keep things interesting.
