Watch: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Talks To Indiewire About Not Sticking to Formula With His Debut 'Don Jon'

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's confident and supremely entertaining directorial debut "Don Jon" makes its way into theaters this Friday, months after world premiering to solid notices at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival where Indiewire caught up with the former child actor to discuss his film. The racy romantic comedy centers on the womanizing porn addict of the title (Gordon-Levitt), who takes a turn for the better after befriending an older woman (Julianne Moore).

In the video below, Indiewire talks to Gordon-Levitt and his co-star in the film, Tony Danza (he plays Don Jon's macho father), to discuss the indie nature of the project and Danza's involvement. "Don Jon" opens wide this Friday, September 27.
