"V/H/S: Viral," the third installment in the horror anthology franchise is expected to hit theaters over Halloween and Deadline has brought us its first trailer. The film is formatted as a found-footage horror, featuring a series of short segments from an array of directors including Nacho Vigalondo, Gregg Bishop and Todd Lincoln. Epic Pictures Group is introducing the title at Cannes.
The "V/H/S" Trilogy has succeeded in a time of extreme popularity for low-budget horror, which has seen its contemporaries such as "Paranormal Activity" and "Saw" put out four and seven films respectively. "V/H/S: Viral" has five segments within the film, all shot in the same style distinctive to this genre. Based on the first NSFW-looking trailer, this may be the most packed in the series, as it treats viewers to an ambush of iconic horror images ranging from blood in the shower to night vision-like visuals.
