Ahead of its February 21 limited stateside release (it already had an Oscar-qualifying run in New York and Los Angeles that wrapped November 14), Hayao Miyazaki's final animated feature "The Wind Rises" has gotten a U.S. trailer from distributor Touchstone Pictures. The company plans to expand the film's theatrical release on February 28.

The completely dialogue-free trailer relies purely on gorgeous, hand drawn imagery to reel you in. The film, a mix of real-life stories of aircraft designer Jiro Horikoshi and poet Tatsuo Hori, tells a tale of love, war and perseverance. It topped the Japanese box office for nine weeks after opening in July.
