Replacing Matt Smith is going to be no easy task, but if anyone is up for it, it's Peter Capaldi. The fantastic swearer who played Malcolm Tucker with enough verbal panache to kill most men isn't particularly well known in America, appearing in smaller roles in films like "World War Z" and "The Fifth Estate," but he's about to be put on the global stage as the 12th Doctor come August.
After getting a brief glimpse of Capaldi's Doctor in the 50th Anniversary and Christmas specials, the upcoming Season 8 premiere will mark the first full episode featuring the new Doctor. Capaldi and co-star Jenna Coleman can be seen in New York City on August 14th as part of the first ever "Doctor Who" World Tour. They'll also be stopping by Wales, London, Seoul, Sydney, Mexico City, and Rio de Janeiro for the tour.
The feature length premiere episode of "Doctor Who," titled "Deep Breath," premieres Saturday, August 23rd at 8pm on BBC America. Get a glimpse of what's in store below:
