Watch: Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt and Cameron Diaz in Tense International Trailer for Ridley Scott's 'The Counselor'

After dropping the Russian trailer for Ridley Scott's star-studded follow-up to "Prometheus," 20th Century Fox has released the international teaser for "The Counselor." Penned by Pulizer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy ("No Country For Old Men") and starring one of the best ensembles in recent memory -- Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, Rosie Perez and John Leguizamo -- the thriller centers on a lawyer (Fassbender) who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking. The film opens wide October 25th in the heat of awards season. Thoughts on the trailer?

McCarthy is a phenom. writer so you know it'll astound in terms of screenwriting. Fassbender being his assured and cool-headed self. The cinematography is top-notch, while the ensemble cast shines. Could be a hit or miss though, under Scott's direction.

As great as this looks, it's more of an extended tv spot than a trailer.
