"Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ingnorance)," directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu ("21 Grams," "Babel"), certainly seems to be making the all the right moves. The film is slowly growing into one of the most anticipated releases of the year and the new trailer certainly doesn't do any damage to that reputation. Good luck finding another spot so dedicated to seeing Michael Keaton in his underpants walking through Time Square. It's a heavenly sight...
Starring Emma Stone, Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton and Naomi Watts, the film revolves around an actor (Keaton) -- famous for portraying an iconic superhero -- struggling to mount a Broadway play. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself.
The dramedy premieres at the Venice International Film Festival in late August and opens in theaters October 17th. Check out the new trailer below:
