Ahead of its July 25 release, Oscilloscope has released a new trailer for the 2013 Tribeca Documentary winner "The Kill Team"
After winning the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, Academy Award-nominated director Dan Krauss' documentary "The Kill Team" was quickly snatched up by Oscilloscope Laboratories. With a July 25th release on the horizon, they've released a new trailer for the film that takes a hard look at serious war crimes.

"The Kill Team" follows the story of U.S. soldier Adam Winfield, a 21-year-old in Afghanistan, who tried to alert the military to the heinous war crimes he witnessed committed by his fellow platoon members. Members of his team were callously murdering innocent civilians and planting weapons alongside the bodies to claim their victims were terrorists. The army did nothing to respond, not even when Winfield's Sergeant threatened his life if he did not participate in their next killing. After the fact, Winfield found himself charged with first-degree murder.

"The Kill Team" opens on July 25th in New York and on August 1st in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with a national roll-out to follow. Check out the new trailer below.
