Watch: Oliver Stone is Back to His Lurid Ways with 'Savages' Trailer

"Savages" Universal
Oliver Stone, it's good to have you back. The trailer for the latest from the director, "Savages," hit the web today via MTV, and judging by the meaty preview, it looks like one hell of a return to form, recalling his lurid, puply work from the 90's (namely "Natural Born Killers" and "U-Turn").

Taylor Kitsch ("John Carter") and Aaron Johnson ("Kick-Ass") play two pot growers who fend off against the Mexican drug cartel who kidnapped their shared (!) girlfriend (Blake Lively). All three appear in the promo, along with a menacing-looking Benicio Del Toro, a scene-stealing Salma Hayek as one lady you don't want to mess with, and John Travolta as a DEA agent. Emile Hirsch and Uma Thurman round out the stellar cast.

The film hits theaters July 6.
