Parker Posey is being honored this weekend at the Provincetown International Film Festival with an "excellence in acting" award, which brought with it a retrospective screening of her iconic 1995 film "Party Girl."
Posey attended the intimate screening on Commercial Street in downtown Provincetown, where fans were blessed not only with the film (which holds up incredibly well), but also with an introduction that saw Posey sit down with the audience. Expectedly adorable, Posey recalled how New York has changed since "Party Girl" was set there nearly 20 years ago.
"In college I was going vogueing with the drag queens at the Roxy," she laughed. "And they were throwing me around and I was on the floor... This was like a movement of creativity and expression that I don't think has happened since."
