Watch Samuel L. Jackson Tell Voters To 'Wake The F**k Up' In This Video Directed By Kitao Sakurai and Boaz Yakin

Samuel L. Jackson is following in the footsteps of Sarah Silverman in a hilarious anti-Mitt Romney video entitled "Wake The F**K Up."

The clip was written by Adam Mansbach, the author of "Go the Fuck to Sleep," which itself became a viral sensation when both Jackson and Werner Herzog narrate versions.  Boaz Yakin ("Fresh," "Remember The Titans") and Kitao Sakurai ("Aardvark") co-directed the new clip, and like the Silverman video, it was sponsored by the Jewish Council for Research and Education.

"Sorry my friends but there's no time to snore," Jackson says in the NSFW nursery rhyme in the  clip. "An out-of-touch millionaire has just declared war. On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay. We're all on our own if Romney has his way..."

I think that the folks commenting on this story need Samuel L. Jackson to come help them wake up! While Barack Obama has not been able to do everything on his agenda, stymied at many turns by the Tea-Party-driven GOP in Congress (House and Senate), at least he has been pushing for progressive change and he has accomplished an amazing amount. See http://pleasecutthecrap.typepad.com/main/what-has-obama-done-since-january-20-2009.html for a list with citations! And while a President by himself is limited in what he can do (since he cannot legislate or judicate), make no mistake that Mitt Romney would take the country back into a G.W.Bush direction (look at who his advisors are). Unpaid-for wars, tax cuts for the wealthy, cuts in services for the middle class and poor, Supreme Court justices that favor corporations over people, cuts in the necessary regulations that protect the people and our environment, policies that expand our reliance on oil, policies that are not driven by science, etc. Let's be very clear: Mitt Romney has no empathy for the non-wealthy--you can hear it in his unscripted comments. Our lives are outside his experience. While any president will be influenced by Wall Street, Mitt Romney would be in their inner pocket. Do you really think that *any* financial reform would have been passed under a Romney presidency?

Look at these comments! Thought I was part of a tiny minority, but look! Voting in this country gives a facade of legitimacy to this imperialistic state. You get to vote for war or vote for war. You get to vote in favor of Wall Street greed or you can vote in favor of Wall Street greed. You can vote to have your rights chiseled at or... You can also vote for secrecy so the People only know the bs that is fed to them (Obama is even more secretive than Bush!).
Magicians know the trick that if someone is given a choice it creates the illusion of freedom (that bouquet is coming out of your ear no matter which magician's hand you choose).
Freedom is an illusion in this country, your only real choice is whether or not to tell the world that you support the Military/Industrial/Congressional Complex. DON'T DO IT! Wake the F*up!

Pathetic that ppl think any puppet they( zionist pigs) put as president and i mean put there is going too do anything good at all.Its a farce. U.S. is run by parasites from israel that have us fight wars... their wars for them as they destroy our economy for their own agenda's.People need too wake up and realize they have been being brainwashed by mass media witch is owned by you know who because as long as they are in financial and political power IE the fed reserve Americans will keep getting screwed all the while they systematically do everything in their power too destroy what made this country a super power too begin with. PFFT!!!

The "owners" are actors playing many diff. characters on their media machines. Wellaware1.com has exposed many of these fake people in the news.

The only REAL choice is to Write In Dr. Ron Paul this election. The other 2 candidates are treasonous asshats who don't deserve to be President.

  • Johnnie Z | September 28, 2012 2:12 AM

No thanks, pal, Ron Paul is all over the place. Just another homophobe that belongs in the eighteen hundreds. The only thing I agree with him on is that we need to get rid of the sixty year long disaster called the DRUG WAR.

  • Mike Walker | September 27, 2012 11:54 PM

Any true Ron Paul supporter will never vote republican another day in his/her life after what they did to us this year. Passings laws so we can never have another Ron Paul type candidate. Evil stuff.

  • Ender | September 27, 2012 9:41 PMReply

Romney sucks, but Obama's no better. Romney lacks experience, and you can't trust a man (Obama) that tells the Russian Prime Minister "Tell Putin to chill, I'll be more lax after the election." Both candidates are terrible choices. I'm voting against odds, but not against conscience. Ron Paul for President 2012! Write him in!

  • the-independant | September 28, 2012 8:46 AM

I agree with you on most of what you typed here. But there has to be a reason why the GOP (Group Of Punks(or Pussies? whatever!)) choose clueless Mittens instead of Ron? Is it because they think that the USA should be ran as a business and "Mitt's the Shiznit" when it comes to that? Deal closer? Salesman BS artist? common sense tells you to vote Obama because he's better than the Mr. Fantastic, Reed richards lookin' like Mormon man over there.

If Reps had any touch with reality then they would've had a better chance with Ron and I think he would win.

  • Realist | September 27, 2012 9:34 PMReply

There is one REALLY accurate statement here. "All politicians are the same"

  • Johnnie Z | September 28, 2012 2:04 AM

"All politicians are the same"? Like the man said, so called, "Realist," WTFU!

I really hate that stupid statement you just wrote here, it's made of nothing but a dumb kind of apathy.

  • Mike Walker | September 27, 2012 11:56 PM

    George Bush vs Bill Clinton.....

  • TenkMow | September 27, 2012 9:12 PMReply

Wow man that makes a ll kinds of sense dude.
