Watch: Suspenseful Trailer for Osama Bin Laden Hunt 'Zero Dark Thirty' (Video)

Sony's hunt-for-Osama-Bin-Laden thriller "Zero Dark Thirty" may be an odd bet for a holiday-season movie, but this new trailer plays well on viewers' curiosity about the plot that brought the terrorist leader down and the Oscar-winning woman, Kathryn Bigelow, who directed the movie. Bigelow and writer Mark Boal both won Oscars for "The Hurt Locker" a few years ago, and this is their first work since, with mysterious financier Megan Ellison bankrolling the new project.

Even without the political intrigue surrounding the debate about whether the White House shared classified information with the filmmakers and the timing of the film's release in relation to Election Day, the movie holds a powerful attraction for a lot of potential moviegoers. It comes out Dec. 19 and stars an intense Jessica Chastain.
