"Being gay is not a choice," is what Ellen Page stresses with frustration in the backseat of a cab. While the actress recently came out of the closet, Ellen Page and her best friend Ian Daniel are steadfast in investigating what it's like to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or transexual in today's volatile ideological climate, all around the world.
From Jamaica to Japan, Page and Daniel "join the celebration, document the struggles, feel the love and the hate and bring home every human story we encounter along the way," as Page says in the trailer above. The four-episode show showcases that LGBT issues exist in every corner and crevice of the world, whether it's in our own backyard at a Ted Cruz rally in Iowa, or in the favelas of purportedly open-minded Brazil.
The young actress will broadcast her jet-setting adventures on the upcoming cable channel VICELAND, which is VICE's newest venture in their eternal journey to making themselves the next Ted Turner-like media empire.
Check out the trailer above, and catch "Gaycation" on VICELAND when it launches on February 29.
