So "Low Winter Sun," the network's newest show, probably merits attention just on the basis of the channel on which it'll be broadcast. But the crime series, which comes from writer, executive producer and showrunner Chris Mundy ("Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior"), also stars the excellent Mark Strong ("Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," "Zero Dark Thirty"), who's reprising his role as troubled Detective Frank Agnew from the original, acclaimed two-part 2006 U.K. miniseries of the same name on which the show is based. Lennie James ("The Walking Dead") co-stars in the AMC series, which transplants the story of how the murder of a fellow detective pulls Agnew into the criminal underworld from Edinburgh to Detroit.
Check out the trailer for the series, which will premiere this summer with a 10-episode season, below.

I'm really curious to see Ernest Dickerson's work on this ... but again AMC doesn't want us foreigners to see it (yet ?).

Uhm...How was Mark Strong not cast as 'Agent 47'?
