Watch: Trailer for Reworked Sundance Film "Thin Ice" Makes Debut

"Thin Ice" (aka "The Convincer") stars Greg Kinnear and Alan Arkin. The film had its world premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

Last July, Anthony Kaufman investigated (and elaborated on) the case of a Sundance film, "The Convincer," which producers Werc Werk Works took, recut and crafted a new film, "Thin Ice."  (Kaufman followed up on the company and its dire prospects here.)

The violin theft film, which stars Greg Kinnear, Billy Crudup, Alan Arkin and Leah Thompson, gets a compelling trailer, one which pitches the film as a twisty drama.

And here's a clip from the film when it was called "The Convincer," which features Alan Arkin showing off a very...interesting...accent that doesn't make too much of an appearance in the new trailer.
