Watch: Two Exclusive Clips from 'Lawrence of Arabia' Blu-ray Rerelease (VIDEO)

In honor of the film's 50th anniversary, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment today releases "Lawrence of Arabia" on Blu-ray for the first time ever. Not only is the Blu-ray accompanied by a wealth of behind-the-scenes and making-of featurettes as well as interviews and remastered audio, the feature itself will come as the director's cut of the film -- restored in the 4K format from its original negatives.

Below watch two clips, exclusive to Indiewire, from the special features included on the disc. The first clip discusses director David Lean's relationship with the actors on set ("Part of a director's job is tickling the talent," Lean says in an interview. "Particularly the actors."); in the second, Lean elaborates on what he loves most about making movies -- and Omar Sherif explains why "Lawrence of Arabia" was such a feat of a film. Watch below:
