Watch: Using Only Body Paint and Stop-Motion Animation, One Artist Has a Unique Take on the Circle of Life

Artist Emma Allen posted her circle-of-life-through-body-paint stop-motion animation to Vimeo a few months ago, but it's just now bubbled to the top, and the video is a great showcase of what makeup can do to tell stories.

From the Vimeo page for "Ruby," Allen describes her film as "An animated self-portrait exploring the idea of rebirth and illustrating the transfer of energy from one incarnation to another. I painted this stop frame animation on myself over 5 days, using some face paints, a mirror and a camera."
