Fresh from playing Tom Cruise's nemesis in the Christmas blockbuster "Jack Reacher," Werner Herzog is back in theaters this month with his latest documentary, "Happy People: A Year in the Taiga." Music Box films today released the first trailer for the film, which opens in select theaters Jan. 25.
With "Happy People," Herzog captures a year in the lives of people living in the heart of the Siberian Taiga, where 300 people inhabit the small village of Bakhtia at the river Yenisei. With no telephones, running water or medical aid, the locals live by a set of daily routines that have barely changed over the last centuries.
