"Midnight in Paris" came out almost a year ago, so it's about time for a new Woody Allen movie. After his massive international success and Oscar win last year for his international crowd-pleaser, expectations are riding high on his follow-up to deliver. The good news is that his next movie appears to have something for everyone, if the trailer's anything to go by.
From what we can see here, it seems like another Allen-esque ensemble comedy with some of his regulars, some exciting new faces, and some folks we haven't seen in quite a while (we're looking at you Roberto Benigni).
In one storyline, Jesse Eisenberg is cheating on Greta Gerwig with Ellen Page, and Alec Baldwin shows up to crack some jokes. In another, Penelope Cruz, plays an Italian escort sporting one short red dress. Judy Davis also pops up for some scenes with Woody Allen (his first on-screen appearance since 2006's "Scoop"), and she's apparently not happy about it. And then there's Benigni playing an overnight celebrity hounded by the press.
Also, the fabulous Alison Pill has a supporting role, which is more than enough to get us into the theater!
