What's with Ezra Miller and dysfunctional family dramas?
The buzzed-about up-and-comer drew raves at Cannes for his turn as the son from hell in the Tilda Swinton-starrer "We Need to Talk About Kevin." Before garnering acclaim on La Croisette, Miller appeared in "Another Happy Day," another tale of a family on the brink fronted by another great leading lady (in this case, Ellen Barkin).
The film won the film's writer and director Sam Levinson the Waldo Salt Screenwriting award in Park City and found a home at Phase 4, which just released the red band trailer for the drama.
The spot gets the job done. It showcases the film's biggest selling point - it's fantastic cast (Barkin, Miller, Demi Moore, Thomas Hayden Church, Kate Bosworth and Ellen Burstyn) - and brings the drama.
Barkin stars as a woman to returns to her parent's home for a family wedding, only to be reminded of why she moved away in the first place.
It opens in limited release on November.
