Watch: David Lynch's Disturbing Trailer for the 2011 Viennale

David Lynch's trailer for Viennale Fest '11.

Get ready to be seriously creeped out. David Lynch has directed a trailer for the upcoming Vienna International Film Festival (Viennale) and to no surprise, it's sure to keep you up nights. [Big hat tip to The Playlist]

Past directors who have helmed spots for the event include Stan Brakhage, Leos Carax, Agn├Ęs Varda and Jean-Luc Godard. What Lynch brings to the table is a black-and-white one-minute affair with terrifying sound design we've come to expect from the "Mulholland Drive" auteur. (When that guy's hitting the ground with a hammer -- what the hell is that sound supposed to be? Likely we don't want to know.) Inscrutably titled "The Three Rs," the clip features mysterious rocks, bee sounds and lots of shrieking.

Next for Lynch: He will make his solo debut as a musical artist this fall with the album "Crazy Clown Time." It comes out November 8. Go here for the track-list and to learn more. (Check out the disturbing cover art at The Playlist.)

The Viennale runs October 20 to November 2.
