Watch: Joyous Trailer for the Award-Winning Muppet Doc "Being Elmo"

"Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey"

"Being Elmo," the crowd-pleasing profile of the man behind Elmo, arguably the most-loved Muppet on "Sesame Street," has been melting hearts on the festival circuit since premiering at Sundance this year, where it won the Special Jury Prize. The Constance Marks-directed doc has gone on to win awards at the Traverse City Film Festival and the Nantucket Film Festival.

Take a peek at the first trailer for the film to see what all the hype is about.

Full disclosure: We caught it at Sundance and it's a complete winner. The story of how puppeteer Kevin Clash came up through the ranks on sheer ambition and ingenuity to become one of the best in the business is an underdog tale of the best variety. Bring Kleenex.

The film will open at the IFC Center in New York on October 21.
