Weinstein Company Sketches "Arthur and the Minimoys" in English Territories

The Weinstein Company has acquired rights in all English speaking territories to the CGI animated family film "Arthur and the Minimoys," based on Luc Besson's best selling children's book by the same title. The screenplay was adapted by Besson, the award winning writer/director/producer behind such movies as "The Fifth Element," "The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc" and "La Femme Nikita." Disney/Pixar should be pissed. The Weinsteins are going to ruin the CGI animated market for everyone by releasing all of these junk movies. Hoodwinked was terrible and from what I read and seen, Doogle was a dud. These guys are throwing anything against the wall looking for a Findind Franchise series that will stick. And don't forget kids to con your parents into buying you the dvd in 7 weeks.
