West Coast Debuts of "Neverwas" and "Illusionist" Bookend 7th Newport Beach Film Festival

The 7th Newport Beach Film Festival opened Thursday night with the West Coast premiere of Joshua Michael Stern's "Neverwas," starring Aaron Eckhart, Jessica Lange, Sir Ian McKellen, Brittany Murphy and Nick Nolte. The festival will screen over 350 films from around the world April 20 - 30. The fest winds up April 27 with the West Coast debut of romantic mystery "The Illusionist" by Neil Burger, starring Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti, and the awards gala will follow the next day. The fest will also host two days of encore screenings on April 29 and 30. NBFF hosted the U.S. premiere last year of Academy Award-winning best picture, "Crash."
