Who are the 134 New Members of The Academy?

134 people have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization announced today. The voting membership is just under 6,000, as has been the case since 2003, AMPAS said.

“These filmmakers have, over the course of their careers, captured the imagination of audiences around the world,” said Academy President Sid Gani, in a statement. “It’s this kind of talent and creativity that make up the Academy, and I welcome each of them to our ranks.”

Without breaking them all down, females represent only 20% or the “100%” asked.

Correction: females represent only 22% out of "100%" = approx. 30 out of the 134 invited.

Or to put this breakdown another way:

    Only addressing 5 power categories:

Invited performers: male: 20 female: 7or 8 (unsure of one name)
Invited Directors: male: 7 female: 0
    Invited Cinematog's: male: 5 female: 1
Invited Producers: male: 7 female: 2
Invited Executives: male: 7 female: 1

Without breaking them all down, females represent only 20% or the "100%" asked.

In this day and age this is unacceptable.
The Academy needs to crawl out of the dark ages.
1909 or 2009? It all depends on who you ask!
