XLrator Media is launching two new labels, Screamfest and Macabre, to release genre films across multiple platforms in North America. The first films include Toronto film festival premiere "Thale" and Nazi zombie sequel "Outpost: Black Sun" for the Screamfest label, while "Bigfoot: The Lost Coast Tapes" and the vampire-family sequel "The Thompsons" will first stock the Macabre banner.
"We are proud to join forces with Screamfest, one of America’s leading horror film festivals for over a decade," said XLrator Media CEO Barry Gordon. "The festival has served as an authentic, fan-approved launching pad for dozens of talented filmmakers who have gone on to redefine the possibilities of the modern horror genre."
XLrator, which launched an action-movie label called Turbo in May, has recently released "John Carpenter's The Ward," "Bunraku," "Assassin’s Bullet" and "Knuckle."
