Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp Head to China in 'Gilbert Grape' Via YOU On Demand

YOU On Demand, China's leading Pay-Per-View and VOD platform, has reached a licensing agreement with Screen Media Ventures to distribute the company's films via transactional VOD and subscription VOD.

The deal creates another pathway for independent films to reach China, including "Drop Dead Gorgeous," a satire on beauty pageants starring Kirsten Dunst; Leonardo DiCaprio's breakout performance opposite Johnny Depp in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape"; "Where The Heart Is," starring Ashley Judd and Natalie Portman; the rom-com "Music From Another Room," which stars Jude Law and Gretchen Mol; and Mike Myers' popular spy parody "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery."

Screen Media now joins Warner Bros., Disney Media, NBC Universal, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, Miramax, Magnolia Pictures, Gravitas Ventures, Film Buff, K2 Communications, 3net and Big Mama Digital Entertainment as content providers for YOU On Demand.
