Cannes' 'Blue Ruin' Goes To RADiUS
From Corporate Videos to CannesFrindel’s film tracks the story of Jeffrey Kagel, who in 1970 declined to sing for the band that would become Blue Oyster Cult, sold all his possessions and went to the Himalayas to find a saint named Neem Karoli Baba. In the process, Kagel eventually became the chant master Krishna Das, who was recently nominated for a Grammy for Best New Age Album.
J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. scored the film with Devadas. Mike Harrop produced.
Zeitgeist has recently released “Elena,” “Payback” and “Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters.” Forthcoming releases include “Hannah Arendt” and “Koch.”
