    Landmark Theatres Opens New York Office; Hires Bunnell and Raddatz

    Landmark Theatres has opened a New York City office, and has hired Lisa Bunnell as its east coast film buyer and Melissa Raddatz as its director of publicity, Landmark Theatres CEO Bill Banowsky announced Monday. Reporting directly to Ted Mundorff, Landmark Theatres vice president of film and head film buyer, Ms. Bunnell will primarily be responsible for booking all east coast Landmark screens and sites.     "The Proposition" and "King Leopold's Ghost" Among Top Winners in Bermuda

    "The Proposition," by Australian director John Hillcoat, won the Mary-Jean Mitchell Green Award for best narrative feature at the ninth annual Bermuda International Film Festival the event announced recently. American director Pippa Scott's "King Leopold's Ghost" took best documentary feature and "Avatar" by director Lluis Quilez of Spain won the "M3 Wireless Bermuda Shorts Award." Hillcoat took home a $5,000 cash prize, while Quilez took home $3,000. The festival's Audience Choice Award went to Miramax's "Kinky Boots," by first-time director Julian Jarrold.
