'Fast & Furious' Franchise May Be Moving From Cars To Heists In Future Films

The Onion Hilariously Interviews Screenwriter Chris MorganOn the face of it, this weekend's "Fast Five" pretty much seems like yet another rote entry in the series, but for Universal, the film is anything but usual. According to the LA Times, the film is budgeted somewhere between $125-170 million, the most expensive film yet in the series that thus far has kept expenses on each outing under triple digits. But more importantly, it will find the franchise shifting gears (pun intentional) moving away from the gearhead origins and shifting into something else, a heist series that won't require new viewers to know anything about the previous film...

Tribeca Review: Michael Winterbottom's 'The Trip' A Wickedly Funny Road Trip

Fans of British actor/comedian Steve Coogan ("I'm Alan Partridge," the outstanding lead in "24 Hour Party People") tend to fall into two camps: the Anglophile hyper-obsessives (believe me, they exist) and the casual fan where this writer finds himself (though there's probably a third and fourth leve...

Bootlegged Teaser Trailer For Tarsem's 'Immortals' Could Be Mistaken For Zack Snyder's '300'

The teaser trailer for Tarsem's "Immortals" has been unveiled on E! News with their signature, annoying voice over and, while only a bootleg version is available so far, it seemingly exhibits a highly-stylized swords-and-sandals pic very much in the vein of Zack Snyder's "300."

Marisa Tomei, Alison Pill & Olivia Munn In Talks For Aaron Sorkin's HBO Drama

Generally speaking, HBO keeps going from strength to strength. 2011 has already brought the most involving "Cinema Verite," the increasingly gripping "Game of Thrones" (which is more than worth checking out, even if you're allergic to fantasy) and Todd Haynes' wonderful "Mildred Pierce," and their u...

Watch: Dominic Cooper Goes Crazy Twice Over In Trailer For 'The Devil's Double'

On the one hand, "The Devil's Double" -- a biopic of Saddam Hussein‘s psychotic son Uday and of his body double, with Dominic Cooper playing both roles -- sounds like it could be some compelling viewing, at least based on the one actor, dual roles casting. On the other hand, it's directed by Lee Tam...
