Confirmed: Naomie Harris Is In Talks To Play Bond Girl In Next "007" Movie

Well hot-damn! This has now officially spread like wildfire across the web over the last 12 hours, since I posted it early yesterday morning; even mainstream sites like Entertainment Weekly, Huffington Post, and many others have picked up the story. So, I figured I'd repost it, along with the fact t...

"I think It Was An Insult" - Winnie Mandela Opens Up On Jennifer Hudson's "Winnie" Biopic

Still no word on when we can expect the film to eventually make its debut; The trailer for the biopic, starring Jennifer Hudson as the titular character, and Terrence Howard as Nelson Mandela, was met with much ridicule and derision when we unveiled it last fall, to the chagrin of its producers, and...

Sequel To "Salt" Is Underway; Angelina Jolie Returning. Chiwetel Ejiofor?

Well... at least it could mean more work, and thus a paycheck for Mr Chiwetel Ejiofor, and given the way the first one ended, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that Sony Pictures is moving forward with a sequel.

The Next Step Towards Your Personalized Pleasure Planet

Suggestion engines tell you what might appeal to you: i.e. you loved "REPULSION" and "CACHE", so you will also like "MARTHA MARCEY MAY MARLENE". But if you are at all like me, you've already found enough movies to get you well past your life expectancy rate. It's now more you crave, but less!

The 'Salt' Sequel You Didn't Know You Wanted Is Happening, Kurt Wimmer Hired To Write The Film

In the era of no-original-ideas Hollywood, even studio suits have to admit that rolling the dice on a "Salt" sequel seems a bit ludicrous. The Angelina Jolie spy film seems impressive when you look at the numbers -- just under $300 million worldwide -- but when you break it down, it looks less enticing. The film brought in $118 million domestic, just a shade over it's $110 million budget. Overseas, the film fared better with a $175 million haul. But is anyone really asking for a sequel? The film is all but a distant memory and that other Angelina Jolie spy movie from last year, "The Tourist," was met with even worse reviews than "Salt" and wi...

Bradley Cooper & Chris Evans Join List Of Contenders For Doug Liman's 'Luna'

Financing In Place, As Film Gets Fast-Tracked At DreamWorksThe summer movie season is upon us and it's easy to forget that there are movies being developed at the major studios are aren't sequels, based on a comic or toy or spun-off a previous film or television show. In the works for years, the long-gestating space film by Doug Liman -- now titled "Luna" -- has been inching forward in fits and starts for the past while. Originally with Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead, who later left the project, it sputtered back to life this past spring when a wealth of names were said to be contending for the open role including Andrew Garfield, Emile Hirsch a...

Finland Will Change the Way You Think about Documentary: DocPoint Takes Over NYC

It’s a great year to be a lover of Nordic cinema, especially in New York City. Many of the best films at the Tribeca Film Festival were from Scandinavia and its environs, some of which will be getting released later this year (including my favorite of the festival, “Trollhunter” – see Christopher’s ...
